Content on the Renew screens is optimally designed for a passing pedestrian audience with a
short viewing period. By the consistent use of screen templates throughout programming,
Renew enables pedestrians to absorb relevant information quickly.
The screens continually adjust their content and brightness to match the needs and
environmental conditions around the unit. This ensues an optimal information channel
in the outdoor environment.
Design & Placement
Renew is specifically designed for universal access.
The aperture height is compliant for wheelchair use and the lit apertures allow
the visually impaired to effectively recycle.
Designed for use in major international centres, renew uses symbols to designate
the type of recycling material.
Design & Placement
Renew has been designed for placement in high footfall locations with minimum impact on pedestrian desire lines.
The height and width of Renew are consistent with existing on-street objects,
allowing for the discreet placement of the unit on the high street.
The rounded edges further ensure that Renew will not act as a hazard to oncoming
pedestrian traffic.
Design & Placement
Renew is best placed in accordance with other on-street objects such as trees and bollards in the street furniture siting zone.
Careful consideration is given to the size of the placement zone, taking into
account other pressures on the footway such as the volume of pedestrian movement
and vehicular parking provisions.
A minimum pavement width of three metres is required for most deployments.
